Privacy Policy

Your privacy is very important to us.  Minnich's Birds 'n More only collects customer information in an effort to facilitate and improve our customer's shopping experience.  We do not share, trade or sell your information to anyone!  We only ask for the information we need to provide the service you have requested.  If you have any questions regarding our Privacy Statement, please e-mail us at minnichsbirds@comcast.net

Placing Orders

When you place an order at Minnichsbirds.com you provide your name, company name (if applicable), mailing address, telephone number, e-mail address, credit card number and expiration date.  You may also provide alternative shipping information if you will not be available to receive the shipment at your home address or to send your order as a gift.  This information is collected for:  (a) Personal identification; (b) to allow us to ship orders to; (c) to allow us to contact you regarding your order status.

When you place an order with us, we use a secure server.  Our secure server software encrypts all personal information, ensuring that your information stays private and protected.  This means no one on the internet can see your confidential information.  Your credit card will not be charged until shipment, except in cases of special orders, see below.

Special Orders

Certain items on our site are listed as special orders.  If the item you ordered is a special order, upon the order being placed with the manufacturer, you credit card will be charged a 50% non-refundable deposit.  The reason for this is that the item is being custom made to your specification.  Once the order is placed with the manufacturer, we are unable to cancel it and therefore, must take delivery, even if you cancel the order with us.

Minnichsbirds.com does offer links to other sites on our Links page.  Please note that when you enter these other sites (using the links on our site) you are entering a site for which we have no responsibility.  We cannot guarantee the same level of confidence and recommend that you read the privacy policy of these sites as they may have a privacy policy that differs from ours.

Return Policy

ALL SALES ARE FINAL, NO EXCHANGES OR RETURNS, NO EXCEPTIONS.  This is done to prevent disease transmission to our feathered friends.  However, if you find that the item you ordered is defective in any way and contact us via telephone or e-mail within fourteen (14) days from the shipping date listed on your invoice we will replace the item for you at no charge. Please insure your return, and include a copy of your invoice and ship the item (s) to us at:  Minnich's Birds 'n More, 431 Hill Drive, Hamburg, PA 19526.  Shipping charges are not refundable.  Merchandise must be unused and unaltered.  

Shipping and Handling

We ship most orders using UPS Ground service.  When you place an order, our server automatically connects to the UPS site to calculate appropriate shipping charges based on your shipping choice (Ground, Next-day Air, 2nd Day Air, or 3 Day Select), your address and the merchandise which you are purchasing.  You may choose from UPS Ground, which will generally reach you within 2-10 business days; UPS Next-day Air, you will receive your order within one business day; UPS 2nd Day Air, you will receive your order within 2 business days; or UPS 3 Day Select, you will receive your order within 3 business days.  Occasionally, due to shipping delays around the holidays we may ship your order using United States Postal Service Priority Mail.  If this service is used you will only be charged the actual shipping costs, and they will never be more than the price quoted to you for shipping when you placed your order.  

“Standard Delivery Information” via common carrier - Large cages are shipped this way, please read:
 This product ships to the 48 contiguous states only unless other arrangements are made. Estimated delivery time is within 2 to 10 business days depending on where you are located.
 “Standard Delivery” provides delivery made to the front threshold of the home. It is not the driver's responsibility to bring freight into house, garage, etc. Drivers do not assist with unpacking, set-up or clean up.
 Carrier will call to schedule a delivery appointment. Appointments are available during normal business hours and span a 6-hour period. Please include a daytime phone number in the shipping information at the time of check out. Extraordinary delivery requirements may create additional delivery charges.
 Signature is required for delivery, but before accepting and/or signing for your delivery, please inspect your order thoroughly. If the driver allows, please open and inspect the contents of the boxes for damage. If the cage is damaged and unacceptable to you, please refuse the delivery. If the packaging appears to be damaged in any way, please note the damage on the freight bill or refuse the delivery as damaged. If you do not inspect for damage, and you sign for the delivery, you will be responsible for the return shipping back to our warehouses.

Sales Tax Policy

We are required to collect sales tax on orders in which your mailing address is within Pennsylvania or to Pennsylvania addresses, regardless of where the purchase originates from.  At this time, orders shipped to non-Pennsylvania addresses will not incur sales taxes.

Accepted Methods of Payment

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and Pay Pal.  Your credit card will be charged when your order is shipped.  Unfortunately, we cannot accept personal checks, cash, or money orders on-line. If you would like to pay for your order using a personal check or money order, please call us at 610-562-5678 to place your order.  We will give you your total and will ship your order when your check or money order is received. 

Shipment Tracking

Most orders are shipped using UPS Ground, occasionally we may ship your order using USPS Priority Mail.  Either of these services can be tracked on-line.  Your tracking number will be e-mailed to you when your order ships.  At anytime you can access the UPS website or the USPS website and check the status of your order.  Should you have any additional questions concerning the status of your order, please feel free to contact us at 610-562-5678.

Out-of-Stock Items

While we make every effort to ship every item, occasionally we are out of certain items.  If an item is not in stock we will e-mail you with the approximate availability date.  You will then have the option of receiving shipment on this date or removing the item from your order.  If we make a partial shipment of your order you will only be charged for the items which we actually shipped to you.

International Orders

We are sorry, but at this time we cannot accept international orders on-line.  If you are from outside the continental United States and you would like to place an order, please call us at 610-562-5678 or e-mail minnichsbirds@comcast.net  and we will give you the shipping costs by phone or e-mail.
